Herald and News: Solar Panels to Power I-5 Rest Area in Oregon

Seems like these have potential for future charging stations on the freeway.
Clackamas County has approved state Transportation Department plans to use solar panels to operate the Baldock rest area on northbound Interstate 5 just south of Wilsonville.

The solar panels would cover about 7 acres of the 27-acre rest area. All the equipment would be made in Oregon.

The Oregonian reports it would be the Transportation Department's second solar project. The first is at the I-5 and I-205 interchange.

The department plans to use only renewable energy to power its needs statewide by 2025.
